Do you charge for a meet and greet? Or getting to know you visits?

I don't charge for a meet and greet do you all? What about getting to know you visits?

I figure this is an interview for them and me. They are seeing if I'm a good fit and I'm seeing if it's a job I can do so I don't charge.

I am gong to stay with 2 senior dogs who are with their owners 24/7 I want the transition to me staying there and the stress of not having their owners there as smooth as possible. I want to visit the dogs a few times before they leave so they are comfortable with me. I'm also going to leave something at their house each time with my smell on it.

I understand this is a business but my instincts as former dog owner are kicking in and want to do the right thing.

I should add it's about 20 min from me.

I would say the key is that this is something you want to do, not something they are requesting. If they are requesting several visits, I think a charge may be appropriate depending on context, but I view most of this as part of the job! :)

Meet and greets are not charged to the client, they are as you state a way for you to meet them and them you. M&G's are a cost of doing business. Best of luck.

I do charge for visits beyond a meet n greet. Get to know you visits would count as an in-home visit.

Meet and greets are not something that is charged in this industry. If you do try to charge it could prevent you from working for a client since they may still even be deciding to hire you and want to see in person if you are a good fit to take care of their pet.
