Hi Kathleen,
I personally have not tried, "Thunderease", but I do know that pheromone sprays and plugins have been around for a while. Some clients like them other says that they didn't really notice any change. I personally think that it depends on the pet. Depending on how nervous/anxious your dog gets. A mild case yes, it may help but if (s)he just gets suppers nervous and anxious than no it will not help the server cases. (I think that goes for any pheromone spray). Sorry, I wish I could tell you more specifically about "Thunderease" but I can not. I can tell you that with their "thundershirts" I have only head positive comments.
The good part about Thunderease is that they do offer a 45 day money back guarantee. So you can always try it and see what you think. (overall they are a good company and have been around for a while.)
One thing I will mention is that with what ever you try or use, you want to be very aware of your actions and response to your pet when (s)he is nervous/anxious. Our pets will feed off of us, so (as hard as it is) try to stay positive. Play it off as, "not a big deal". Be sure to be encouraging and reward the good behavior (not the bad behavior).
Best of Luck!!
Hi! I just brought my new Min pin puppy home two days ago. He was fine going in and out of his crate and did well at night but then panicked during the day to the point I was concerned for his safety in the kennel. The thunder shirt put him at ease and the spray definitely made him sleep better!
I suggest using only one spray to start as I was concerned at first he was too lethargic- he did however play for a few hours with larger dogs and eat before I tucked him in. As a puppy I think he was just exhausted but he’s in his crate and has woke up and seen me and is very calm!
