Do you have a contract of care with your clients?

Curious if you have a contract of care with clients you are going to sitting. Permission to take them to the vet in case of an emergency? How do you handle vet bills? I understand they should have a credit card number on file at the vet but if the dog was to bloat in the middle of the night or another emergency how do you handle it?
Client will be out of the country so contacting them won't be an option. I like to have all my bases covered.

If you do have contracts could you please give me an idea of where to get one? Thank you :)

I believe there are sample contracts online , or if you're willing to send me your email address, I'll share mine with you. My email is Pawsibilities.net@gmail.com

In answer to your question about Veterinary care, I have pet parents sign an agreement to let their Vet know that their pets will be in the care of a sitter and make financial arrangements in case of emergency. I let them know that I will take their pet to an after hours vet in the case theirs is unavailable. I also get information for a local emergency contact.

My contract includes everything from allowing access to the home to how they want emergency situations handled (including the death of a pet).

No. I've never had one of these.
