I'm now 8 days in with being on Rover and haven't gotten any bites yet. Rover made it seem like I was going to get my first booking in the first day or two after my profile was approved, so now I'm curious as to actually how long it will REALLY take.
How long did it take for you other sitters to get your first few bookings after you joined?
Welcome to Rover. Getting that first booking and client varies from sitter to sitter, some get bookings rather quickly, for some it takes some time. It depends a lot on what services you offer, your level of availability showing on your calendar and if there are already a lot of sitters in your area. Having a great profile with good pictures helps, as does having a few testimonials from friends and family. We are now moving from the slow season winter to spring and booking tend to increase as the weather warms and schools take the spring break.
I have been on Rover for 2 years and for me, it took 3 months to get my first booking, but after that, it took off and I have been busy ever since. Don't get discouraged so hang in there. Best of luck
