Owner is extremely late and will not pay extra for it?

I recently had a stay with two dogs I would definitely sit again. My problems is with the owner. For the meet and greet he was 45min late. Granted our meeting was at 6pm (so traffic of course) and he contacted me after 6pm to say he would be running late because of work. He still ended up being late for the suggested new time @ 7pm and arrived at 7:30pm. I let that go because he at least communicated that he would be late and the dogs were good fit.

For the drop off I told him (during the meet and greet and a reminder the day before the stay) I would spend half an hour with the dogs once they arrived because I had many back to back appointments later in the day. He was okay with dropping the dogs off at 7:30am and both being left along for a few. 7:30 comes, and I get a notification that he finally booked our request. Yet, he hadn't arrived. I waited 20min before I recieved a text from him saying he just woke up and would be running late (again). I responded okay and to give me an ETA when he got the chance. Another 15min passed and I texted him what is his ETA, he responded the GPS said 20 min. He arrives 30min later.

At the time I was already late for my appointments and he only aplogized one time when got there, and seemed stressed which stressed out the dogs. I also could not stay with the dogs as long as I liked and both ended up being anxious and peeing and pooping in the house after I left. I let the owner know and also suggested a time frame for the pick up that same day. On pick up day, I decided to charge him $10 for the tardiness of the first day because it pushed back all my other appointments. I felt that was resonable for the time he wasted and bad comminucation. I told him exactly "The dogs were great I am open to sitting themagain, however for this stay I am going to have to charge a $10 late fee since you were over an hour late to drop them off." He said okay and didnt seeme to have a problem with it.

I contact rover for the exta charge (right after he left) which I'm only getting $8 from anyways...and they set up a new request for $10. I book it and as of now the booking has expired and the owner hasn't accepted the $10 charge. I dont expect him to, and I don't really want to go thur Rover to hunt down $10.

I've never had an owner until now be that late before or had ones that were late but made up for it by paying me more or being more aplogietic. I just want to know if any other ... (more)

I wouldn't book him again. He seems like someone who doesn't communicate well, and will have issues with payment.
