How should I get more requests?

I have been on Rover for over a month and still no bites. Wondering if there is something wrong with my profile.

Welcome to Rover. For many sitters it does take time to get your first clients, in my case it took 3 months so don't get discouraged. For your profile, I highly recommend you take and pass the Rover 101 quiz and get the badge. And ask more friends and family to write testimonials for you and they are so important, A few more dog pictures can also help make you stand out. A tried and truce method of acquiring new clients is creating tear-off flyers and posting them on local bulletin boards, also join local Facebook groups to promote yourself.

I searched your local area on Rover and found a ton of competition many without reviews so it appears to me that there are many new sitters. Best of luck to you

Aside from Walt's suggestions, which are alll v good, it may be a function of seasonality and where you are located. People go to Florida during the winter. So the fact that you are a house sitter means there is probably less demand during the winter, except for people who might travel for business or residents who have to venture to colder north for a specific personal or business reason. Only your walking and drop-in services are unaffected by this seasonality and are aimed are regular full-time residents who work during the day. Good luck!

I joined Rover less than a week ago and have already had 3 bookings and 5 inquires. What worked for me was setting my costs lower than most of the other sitters in my area. You can also make posts on Facebook pages, the marketplace or craigslist (include your profile link and services you offer). You can also purchase things like business cards, magnets, decals and many other things on the Rover Store with your personal profile link under their Business Promotion tab. Hope this helps!
