How much should I charge for 5 dogs and 4 cats?

Hello everyone. I have someone interested in using me as a pet sitter in the near future. She has 5 dogs and 4 cats and I’m unsure on how much to charge for all of those animals.. I don’t want to over charge but also need the money. What would you charge for all those animals to watch them on a Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday until 5:30pm?

I would charge them $70 for every 24 hour period, but others would disagree and say charge against what you have in your profile which when you add it up would be $215 for every 24 hours or somewhere in-between

I can't tell you how much to charge but make sure the booking reflects 2 "nights" of house sitting. Then, you should create an "additional dog" rate which would be discounted and applied to the 3 additional dogs. You should also have a rate in your table for cats.

Rates should be competitive in your locality. Also you need to take into account how much work you'll be doing for those dogs and cats (which is probably not too much). See how much other sitters charge and discount for additional pets.

Don't sell yourself short and devalue your own services.

Each area and each sitter's rates are different so I would suggest starting out by seeing what other sitters charge. I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, area and for house sitting I charge $45/night for dog #1 and $20/night for each additional dog. For cat care I charge $5/night for each cat. In your case I would charge for 2 full nights because the house sitting rate is for 24 hours.
