At what point does an Overnight Stay become an Overnight Stay+Daycare?

If someone wants me to watch their dog from Friday until Sunday, how much do I get paid? Will it only be the 2 Night Overnight Stay fee? Or if they dog stays late into the day on Sunday does it become 2 Night Overnight Stay plus 1 Daycare Stay? Thank you!

It all depends on when the dog is dropped off and picked up. Before you accept a booking, you should ascertain those times to ensure that the bill reflects the total amount of time you are boarding and caring for the dog. If the client has any questions about it, refer them to:

Each "night" is good for up to 24 hours of pet care. Overages should be billed as daycare to ensure the dog is covered by Rover's insurance.

When I have my M&G or am messaging a repeat customer, I always find out their anticipated dropoff and pickup times. Many want to drop their dog off really early because they have an early flight or want to get on the road, but I won't take in a dog earlier than 8 am. Since they typically return in the evening, I will usually suggest they drop off the dog the night before, which seems to work much better, especially since they'll be back in the evening as well. So I modify the job to start the day before and I don't have to deal with a daycare charge since they will have paid through the final evening.

You should have discussed this with your client before accepting the booking! You are correct though based on the time frame shared you should be paid for daycare or 1/2 of the boarding rate.

I never charge daycare. I just don''t see any point to it. a couple bucks and most clients find it irritating. But I also have a 2 night minimum. I know situations are different, but I live near an international airport, so I get a lot of business travelers.

Also as Walt stated, if you are going to charge daycare for late pick ups, then it needs to be stated on your profile and discussed prior to booking the stay.
