I used Rover for the first time a couple weeks ago and had a very unfortunate experience. How do I report an individual?

I used the services of a young lady a couple of weeks ago. This was my first time using Rover, so I apologize, as I did make a mistake. My mistake was that this lady asked if I could use Venmo to pay her. I didn't think anything of it so I obliged. She was supposed to stay at my house overnight and take care of my two dogs. The first night went well, but the second night she didn't show. I have a doggie cam (which I told her about), which is one of the reasons why I know. I have dog door so I am guessing she thought she didn't need to be there. My neighbors also reported to me that my dogs were barking outside at 2am, which is very uncommon for them. This lady was dishonest and told me she was there, but when I came home that evening, the water bowls were completely dry and there was no indication that my dogs were taken care of. Is there a way to report her, as I don't want someone to have the same experience as me? Since I paid her through Venmo, even though I found her through Rover, I cannot write a verified stay review.

Paying by Venmo means that it wasn't booked with Rover. The fact that the sitter asked to be paid this way means that she violated Rover's terms of service. Report it to Rover and they'll probably close her account.

In the future, make sure you complete all bookings within Rover. That way you'll receive the protection of Rover's insurance and customer support.

You should report her to Customer Support. If she did this to you, she has and will do it to others.

Thank you all for your advice. I did report her and her rover account was closed. I tried Rover again and am happy to report the lady I have now is phenomenal

How do report someone? Thanks in advance! I e had somebody who I found out has not been showing up to Petsit

Anelise, just contact Rover Customer Support at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]. They will take your concerns seriously, as Miranda's experience has show.

I also had a bad experience - and the sitter had me book direct thru his co. for the 2nd visit, rather than through Rover. Is this a violation? I'd like to submit my complaint in writing - but how? Also, for my 1st visit, I wasn't given a chance to review - is this why he only has good reviews??

Is it bad to get paid through Venmo the only thing is rover takes so much of the money
