How to improve booking score when dogs are constantly not a good fit?

So I am extremely frustrated because I dropped from #6 on the sitter search list to #24 and the reason why is clients inattention to detail. I believe that it has to do with my Booking score which is 63 and my booking rate is 17%. My issue is that 95% of the people who message me to watch their dog do NOT un-click the box that says "gets along with cats". I have a cat and thus the majority of the people messaging me cannot book because their dog doesn't like cats . Has anyone found a way to improve booking score despite people messaging you that CLEARLY are not a good fit. I assume that booking score, response rate, and reviews are what puts people higher up on the search list.

Most clients do not read the profiles, they look at the reviews and photos and thats it and very many do not even think for a second if the sitter is a good fit for their dog, I dont know how many requests I get for doggy daycare for dogs who dont like other dogs, leaving me wondering why would you think a doggy daycare be suitable for a dog reactive dog. Its part of the biz.

So I would suggest writing in capital letters at the very top of your profile CAT IN HOME or something of the sort and make sure your cat is in as many photos as possible.

Agree with that last point. I've seen good responses from changing my header to communicate information, as opposed to putting it only in the profile.

Hi Liz:

It might help if you have a pic of your cat on your profile page. You can even type in a (limited) note like MY CAT on the pic....people don't always read through profiles, but they tend to look at the pics.

You are always going to get people who contact you and their situations isn't going to be a good fit. You can't count on people using the filters or even understanding how to use them. Moreover, there will be people who don't know if their dog gets along with cats.

The only proactive thing you can do is mention right up front in your profile that you do have a cat. I looked at your profile and the only mention was in the "additional details" section at the bottom, which is way too far down for important info like that. Also do a search on this board because it was discussed recently and there might be some wording you can use in your own profile.
