If someone booked and overnight stay, and you booked the stay, then realized you had the dog for 30+ hours and 4 good walks, would you charge more?

I ended up giving the owner $135 in services for $55, but she reacted horribly to me increasing the price from $25-$55. Because she only booked an overnight stay, but I had the dog for almost 2 full days, and overnight, and took her on 4 good walks. I didn't think it was fair to make $20 for 2 days and a night of services. What would you of done?

Rover's written policy is that one " night" of boarding or house sitting is good for up to 24 hours of care, which should include 2-3 daily walks and/or potty breaks.

That is why it is vital to find out the customer's dropoff and pick-up times before you finalize the booking. I give customers a couple of hours leeway, but anything over 4 is going to incur an extra pro rata charge. If it is over 10 hours, then they will need to pay for another full day. Because many of my customers' flights arrive in the evening, I often tell them to drop Fluffy off the night before they leave, which makes it easy to use the Rover billing system, plus I don't accept dogs that early in the morning (7 am) and they often have early morning flights. It is really best for everyone because they don't have to rush to bring the dog over at the crack of dawn.

Don't feel like you are being pushy. Refer the client to Rover's FAQ and offer to modify the booking to reflect the overtime.

I have the same issue. I have a dog that was dropped off on a tuesday at 7 am and is being picked up on thursday at 830 pm, but I'm only getting paid for 2 nights. Need to figure out how to make a clear policy on this. Maybe 1 night = 24 hrs, anything over 24 hrs will charge for a doggy day care. So this dog hits 48 hrs at 7 am on thursday, so in the future I will charge for 2 nights boarding + 1 doggy day care in this situation.

I have client booked the house/pet sitting service for $ 25 a night. I told her that stay will include two meals, petting, playing, overnight care and two walks- morning and evening. I also stated will take pup out midday free. However, in stay she requested 5-6 walks/day. Should I charge more?
