What do you do when your phone breaks?

My phone shattered this morning and I'm waiting on a replacement screen-- what do you guys do when something like this happens and you're scheduled for 10 or so walks in the next week????

Without a phone you won't be able to send the Rover cards when performing your walks nor send the clients a text message. I would recommend leaving your clients a paper report card at their home so they know you were there. Depending on how the booking was setup (are you setup as recurring bookings) and your area your payment may be held until you inform Rover you performed the services. All is not lost, S*&T happens

Walt's response is great! I would just add, get on your laptop/desktop and let your clients know that you will not be able to send the regular report cards. This will keep them from being surprised when they don't receive the notification that the visit has been started/completed.

I had this happen a few weeks ago when my phone crashed without warning. I messaged all my clients using the website to explain I was having phone troubles and let them know I would still be there but wouldn't be able to do an update until I got to a computer. I sent a normal recap at the end of the day and offered to discount their next booking to make up for the lack of pictures/real time updates. They were all very understanding, everyone's shattered a phone before so as long as you keep them updated, it should be okay.

I broke my phone and tried the suggestions here. I lost three regular clients. Losing the pictures and the knowledge in hand that they already pooped so you don't have to rush home is too much for many. This is a flaw and Rover should allow walkers an alternative way to start/stop walks and upload photos if our smartphones break. What would happen if my phone broke during a walk with no way to end it?
