Is it appropriate to walk a large dog that is in heat?

I have been asked to walk a German Shephard that is in heat. Is this appropriate to do? I usually walk her in a park where there are a lot of other dogs. Of course she would be on leash as are the other dogs. What is the proper etiquette?

I would walk her but be more vigilant of her wanting to run and fine love and I would be more vigilant of males. You can walk her around the neighborhood rather than the park where there are less dogs, it will only make it a new adventure full of new smells sights and sounds, all good things.
