What creative ways have you come up with to stop a dog from eating poop?

Had a beagle that eat it straight from the "tap" so to speak. Had to accompany everyone for potty time and pick up immediately. And yes I tried dietary supplements etc, dog was partially deaf so leave it command didn't work for her. Otherwise if the dog can hear, have them learn "leave it" command. First with toys/treats, then to other items like that delicious poop.
