Clients outside radius?

I have a ten mile radius around my home for drop ins and walks. If you receive a request for drop ins outside your radius to you offer to sit for the client but charge an outside of radius fee? Or do you simply tell them no...it's too far? Obviously you'd add the contingency to your profile and let the owner know you charge an extra fee before the meet and greet so they have time to find another sitter. Curious.

I've had that happen. How I handle it is based on how busy I am with other commitments. Sometimes, I've had to tell them I can't, it's too far beyond my service area. Other times, I've shared that it's beyond my service area, but I'm willing to care for their pup, and what the additional fee would be due to the distance. Sometimes, it results in discussing boarding, instead of just walks/visits.
