Why is the rate in request less than my rate in my profile?

I increased my profile rate to 30 per hr. However, when a specific request came in, it was 28 per hr. does that mean that the owner is negotiating the rate?

Your rates are shown as $30 per Night and $28 per Holiday Night. Due to the recent holiday, that's why it came in at $28. Clients can't change the rate. Usually, holidays are a premium (more $, not less) so you likely want to adjust that.
