Can someone list all 7 of their pets as a single dog?

I recently received a request to directly call someone with regards to house sitting their 3 dogs and 4 cats, the problem is they listed all 7 of the animals on one single line as 1 dog. So to paraphrase it looks like I'm sitting at their home for my nightly rate for 4 nights in a row for 1 single animal whereas it's actually 3 dogs, 4 cats, a parrot and some tropical fish.

Here is the pet listing - Pets: Dogs-Pogo,Rudy,Eddie/cats-tucker,Phoebe,k.c., Leo

What do I do to fix this situation? They've requested that I come over to visit on Thursday at 1pm, my fiance comes with me to all of my initial site visits, but I'm concerned about just how to address them wanting to pay me $25 a night for all of their pets.

I've written to Rover already but in case I don't hear back in time... Suggestions? Thank you so much!

I agree with the previous answer.

Another way to approach this is to let them know that if they're struggling to enter all 7 pets (which is very possible), that Rover support could help them over the phone and maybe could even fill in all the other profiles - rather than you take on that extra work.

And I'd also find out if they'd agree to the rate or estimated rate for 3 dogs, 4 cats, a parrot and some tropical fish, before going to a meet & greet.

No no no.... heck no. This client is probably new to the Rover scene and does not understand how to set up their profile yet, as I had a client like this. I would just explain how to set up their profile, as there are options to add dogs, cats, etc. I would probably have that conversation BEFORE you set up a meet and greet, simply to ensure that they are willing to pay more (considering all the extra work you would be doing for them). You can always change the quote for what you would be charging as well, if you did want to make a discount (I would not)l. Good luck!

In a nutshell, no effing way lol. Assume good intentions as others have suggested but no way would I care for a small zoo for 25/day nor would Rover want you to. I wouldn't even go on the meet/greet until fee issue is resolved because it may be a no-go. I would have the convo by phone though since it might be a little difficult to explain via text (follow up in writing for your records/safety) . Good luck - let us know how it turns out

What I've done is politely tell the client my rates, then make the adjustment to the price in the booking as such. I did that with a client recently, tried to board with me using the regular dog rate rather than puppy (only a $5 difference).

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I had a client that did the same for his 5 French Bull Dogs. When I spoke to him about adding each individual pet, I discovered that he was new to Rover and just really had no idea how to do that! During my meet and greet and spent some time with him on the site and helped add each pet.

Unfortunately there is no option to add a cat profile but there is an option on your end to add cat care to the estimate when you edit. Another route is to ask the owner to add the cats as Dogs and you can adjust the rate from "additional dog" to "cat care".

If you are charging for small animal are, fish and birds, that would just be added as an additional charge and that would be something that you would discuss with the owner.

I have lots of clients with multiple pets and mostly they don't expect to pay $25 for all their pets!
