With Rover Canadians can only receive payments via cheque?
I converted my account over and then read about the payments and this is what I found. Choose your payment method: PayPal or check. Note: Canadian sitters will just have the option to withdraw funds via check. Payments redeemed via PayPal are released within 1-4 days, with no fees. Note: PayPal only allows transfers of up to $10,000 in a single transaction. Checks take up to 5 business days to process, 20 days to arrive, and incur a $2 fee.
There was no difference on Dog Vacay between Canadian and American and we all got paid through PayPal. Why are Canadians being discriminated against as I now have to paid $2 per cheque and have to wait for processing and mail delivery? I cannot believe in this online world you have reverted backwards. As far as I am concerned this could be a deal breaker for me and using this service as I am very upset.
I don't know if this has changed since you posted but I was able to connect my PayPal no problem. Also Canadian.
Hi Chelsea, I'm a Toronto-based sitter... trying to figure out how the payments work. I'd love to be paid instantly instead of by cheque. Does paypal take a cut of your pay? Also, are you signed up with a personal or business paypal account? I've never had a paypal acct. Thanks! :)
