3 Star Review
I'm new to Rover and so far have only had a few clients. For my first in-home stay I cared for a medium sized dog and a puppy. It went really well except that I couldn't get the two new dogs to calm down and go to sleep with my dogs. The pet-parent ended up waiting for about 10 minutes at pickup before I heard the door bell (I had a bit of a rough night trying to calm them down and ended up sleeping past my alarm the next morning.) Of course I know I messed up and felt really horrible about this (I apologized profusely.)
My client's review itself wasn't too bad and he seemed to be otherwise very happy with how things went but he gave me 3 stars. When browsing through other profiles, it seems like most sitters with ratings have all 5-star reviews. I think that he will end up using me as a sitter again and was wondering if clients can change their rating, or if the 3-star review is on my profile for good. Also, I would appreciate any tips on how to further handle the situation. I'm still stuck on what exactly to say in a follow-up message and am unsure if I should go into detail with an explanation or just apologize again and focus on the positive.
