Long term cat sitting rate?

What would be a good rate for cat sitting and some house duties like watering the plants and checking the mail for a long term request? (around 30 visits/ 3 visits per week) for 3 cats.

I would bill it as drop-ins, unless you think it will take more than 30 minutes. In that case you can bill it as two/a day for an hour. If you have additional pet rates, include that. Many sitters do $5-10 extra per pet when they aren't pups. If you feel the need, you can discount for the "extended stay" (10%ish), but I know many people don't.

I agree with Paige and would just bill these as regular drop in visits, because there are 3 cats and you will be doing more than just caring for the cats. It sounds like this is a 10-week assignment, so in that case you might offer a small discount (since it's guaranteed income).

I would recommend having them ask for a 3-4 week period and make multiple bookings. That way you will get paid more often and it will be easier to handle if things change down the road.
