Living in So. California, the weather is usually mild. Just went through very heavy rains. What do daycare people do about exercise and potting in this type of situation?
I am also in So Cal and that rain was wild! I shorten walks and limit outside time to just potty. I have a few dogs that hate the rain and would rather hold it than go out, but I try to tempt them outside as much as I can. We'll go out on a leash and with an umbrella and try to find a dry or covered spot for them to relieve themselves.
For exercise we'll chase around the house or I'll have them work on Kongs filled with their kibble and approved treats. Also, anytime there's a break in the weather we will walk around the block as many times as we can before the rain starts up again!
Thankfully our weather is never THAT severe :)
