Depends on the type of animal and their needs during that 30 minute time frame.
If it's a cat, I check the litter box, refresh water and check food. This usually only takes a couple of minutes so I usually read the rest of the time or play with the cat if it let's me.
For most dogs, I check food and water and take them on a brief potty walk. I pet them and play with them the rest of the time. Drop-ins are different from walks for dogs because with walks, that's your main / only priority.
During the time of drop-ins, I give meds if needed, as well.

Thank you. I was wondering if it included a potty break for the dogs. That will be what I need.
Then a drop-in is a good choice. Just be sure to communicate your wishes with your Sitter.
