Have you used RoverGo?

I just found out about this service in another thread. Was RoverGo available when you signed up as a Rover sitter? If so, what made you decide to sign up or not sign up for it? For those of you who used it, was it worth it? What are the perks?

Is this different or to replace that service where Rover would take a greater chunk to recommend you to people who called Rover directly to find a sitter?

Rover may be getting things wrong. Instead of charging brilliant Sitters more, they should perhaps start everyone at 25% and take LESS of our payouts as an incentive to Sitters who are just amazing (like you get to keep an additional 1% for each badge earned, 1% for booking your first 10 stays)

I'm a RoverGo sitter. This is a new program that replaces the old program. Is it worth it? That's up to the individual to decide based on saturation of your area, etc. The photo session was 'okay'. The photographer was an independent contractor and kind of a jerk. I really wish I was given a feedback survey on her. The swag they sent was mostly useless: Potty bags are good. The 'thank you' notes are awful. They are like madlibs and not very classy. They are on cheap paper. I won't use them. The bandanas are old stock from the old Rover store. Waaaay too big to use on my dog (they only send one size) and bulky even for large dogs. I don't see myself using them. You get anothet set of business cards which is helpful. I also got cute refrigerator magnets. The main reason that I signed up was that it also throws in the Protection Package for free. It is normally $49.99. I figured the additional 5% take from my earnings along with the boost in visibility made it work out. I had planned on purchasing that Protection Package anyway, but this way I got it without an upfront fee. I'm going to stay RoverGo for the next year and see if it's worth it. For now, it seems like it's a wash, although I do feel that it may be helping to be more appealing to pet parents because of the badge.
Everyone is different, this is just my experience :)

i use to be a premier sitter but did not see the advantages in it. I actually had a different experience with the photographer and I really Liked her. As far as the insurance plan- All clients that book through Rover are covered under the insurance policy. The only difference is that you get to ask a vet 4 questions a year but even than if the pet is displaying a change in behavior you will not feel comfortable with a diagnoses over the phone you are going to want to take the pet in so the vet can evaluate and you can sleep at night knowing you are did everything you could to keep the pet comfortable.

Just another side to consider- Good Luck!

I agree with you about the protection coverage but have found it makes some of my pet parents feel better as wellnas the great tags that I put on each Guest. The shoot was fine but the photog was a bit passive-aggressive in things and didn't seem to like initiative

RoverGO is a great option for sitters who are looking to get more—more bookings, more clients, more money. The team sets you up to earn loyal clients, 4-6 stays every month, and continue building a thriving dog-sitting business. Some of the benefits included in the program is a complimentary background check, a professionally written profile, a boost in search rankings if you're a new sitter, and a welcome package of your choice which contains dog bandanas, thank you cards, t-shirts, and more!

RoverGO is especially great for new sitters on the site - especially ones trying to really ramp up their business - because we provide a boost for the first 10 stays for new sitters! That means you show up higher in search results. Coupled with your professional photos and written profile, you really stand out to owners.

It's also free to sign-up - the only difference is that you keep 5% less of your earnings. For example, regular sitters keep 80% of their earnings on the site and GO sitters keep 75% of their earnings. That 5% difference accounts for the great benefits the RoverGO program offers and over time, makes it worth it!

But overall, sitters with GO have the opportunity to earn $100+ more each month, have about 20% more conversations with dog owners, and get 10-15% more bookings than a regular sitter.
