According to your profile, the rate is $35 per night. If you don't think it is a good rate, then you should take a look at what other sitters in your area charge and go a little lower initially to gain clients.

I noticed that your puppy rate is the same as your regular boarding rate, but you have a higher puppy rate for daycare. Some sitters charge more for regular boarding of puppies as they are more work.

You also have another option, which is to discount for a longer stay. You alone determine what (how many days) qualifies as an "extended" stay. HOWEVER, I would never discount for a puppy in any circumstance. In fact, I don't even accept puppies.

How you charge is up to you. While you need to be competitive with other sitters in your area, you also need to look at puppy care and if it is priced appropriately.

Ellen, you have hardly any competition in your area and you are way lower than most of the sitters. If you are not getting business, then either there is little demand or another dogsitting service may be more popular in your area.
