I expected December to fill up quickly but so far I only have one booking. This is surprising because Thanksgiving filled up quickly and I had multiple client asking to be squeezed in. I've posted on my Facebook and Craigslist a couple times but nothing so far. Is anyone going through the same thing?
My bookings have been super low this month! I had at least 2 dogs in my house every night since August, but once December hit, it has been totally dead. I expected more business, not less!
I'm just now getting reservations for the holiday, (talk about procrastination!) mostly in the Dec. 23-Jan. 3 range, but it's still not as busy as I thought it would be. I max out at 7 dogs, and I'm not even close to getting that. I got more action in the middle of October than over Christmas. This is my first year doing this, though, so I'm not sure if it is normal for things to be this way. Curious to see what others say!
Are you sure your calendar is marked available? If so, by this time usually most people have found accommodations for their pets. Around now (a week before xmas) you will have a few last-minute planners looking to book. I had three today after a week of no requests.
