Rover does have insurance. It is explained here:

Damage to your home is under General Liability and Professional Liability:

General liability covers bodily injury to a person other than the sitter, dog walker, pet owner, or someone directly related to the pet owner, sitter, or dog walker—as well as damage to the pet owner's personal property that the sitter or dog walker becomes legally obligated to pay.

  Up to $2,000,000 ­per occurrence
  Up to $3,000,000 ­general aggregate
  No deductible

Professional liability covers property damage that occurs as a result of a sitter or dog walker’s services, or from failing to render those services.

  Up to $1,000,000 ­per occurrence
  Up to $1,000,000 ­general aggregate
  $500 deductible, covered by the pet owner

But there is also Section 2.5.2 of Rover's Terms of Services, which is as follows:

2.5.2 Limitations Rover.com will not provide access to the Third Party Policy to cover the following costs:

(i) costs for medical or veterinary bills as a result of illness, a Pre-existing Condition (described in Section 2.5.5, below), ticks and fleas, or reoccurrence thereof;
(ii) costs for property or liability damages caused by a pet; or
(iii) any injury to the Pet Care Service Provider or pets belonging to someone other than Pet Owner or Pet Care Service Provider in the Pet Care Service Provider’s care
(iv) cost incurred more than thirty (30) days following an incident, including any long-term care as a result of an injury
(v) medical or veterinary costs incurred as a result of a meet & greet or as a result of any injury which occurs outside of the dates of service actually booked through the Site;
(vi)loss of wages or incidental expenses due to required follow up medical treatment for a pet;
(vii) costs incurred by a Pet Care Service Provider or Pet Owner in the event that they need to adjust and/or cancel travel plans due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. hotel fees, plane tickets, gas for travel, etc).

Pet owners BE AWARE! my dog got injured while boarding, and the pet sitter not held liable for the vet medical bills according to the Rover policy. The bill has to be over $250 for them to do a reimbursement. So if something happens to your pet while being with the sitter, YOU need to take care of the vet bills. The logic behind where the sitter not held responsible at all does not make sense. So BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sitter Dana does not want to take any responsibility at all.

I am suing. They do ZERO due diligence, they left a profile up that after my dog was injured I learned was already under investigation, that had multiple profiles I LATER found and had to bring to their attention. DO NOT USE ROVER.

PS and then they squirm out of it or try to even when your bills end up over $5,000. I am making sure everyone knows and reviewing this on every site. They should be ashamed and shut down.
