Can I make business cards off of another site? Or do I have to use the Rover.com ones?

Wondering if I can order off another site for business materials or just Rover

Comments

I used Vistaprint but you cannot use Rover logo or any other references to Rover on them. I plan to order some Rover cards also.

Do you just put your name? Or do you create a business name?

Here's some information I gathered from the Terms of Service:

  • "A Pet Care Service Provider may promote his/her promotion code on bona fide social networking platforms that are not primarily aimed at coupon or discount distribution; provided that the Pet Care Service Provider complies with all terms and conditions of such social networking platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Craigslist, NextDoor, Google+). "
  • "Pet Care Service Providers acknowledge they are solely responsible for any liabilities arising from their acts or omissions in connection with their creation, marketing, or issuance of a promotion code and/or custom URL"
  • "Pet Care Service Providers may affix the promotion code only on printed materials purchased through the Rover Print Store."

The last one I listed there leads me to believe that you can have your own business cards, but you can only include your promo code if you get them from Rover. If you get your business cards printed by a third party, I would avoid using the Rover name or logo (since it's trademarked, that could get you in some legal trouble).

I'm currently weighing my options for business cards as well. I'm not crazy about the design of the cards Rover offers, but I want to be able to put my Rover profile address and my promo code on them, so I'll probably end up getting them through Rover. The last thing I want is to get sued for trademark/copyright infringement, ya know?

I had my own business cards printed and put a comment on them to ask about an offer for a first-time customer discount. I then refer them to Rover and explain the benefits of using Rover. There are some customers in our area that do not want to use a website for boarding (mostly elderly pet-parents)

Can you please post of a pic of the cards you had made? I want to do this!!!

I used Vistaprint. Go under business cards, industry, search "dog". Mine is the lime green with a bunch of cartoon dogs on leashes.
