What is the best durable dog toy?

My dog loves to chew and can get the squeaker out or rip a limb off a toy in just a few minutes. What are your favorite, durable dog toys that you would recommend for a dog who loves to chew?

Chuckit! balls. Over 1600 customers at Amazon gave it perfect score of 5 stars and I've watched a small dog that destroys most toys not damage those at all while playing on his own with it.

By far, the most durable dog toy is Huggle Hounds! My dad will destroy anything but he has had the same Huggle Hound hedgehog for YEARS!

Kongs of course, but Bionic bones are tough for dogs that love to chew as well! They held up great for a pit bull that loves to chew and they have some where you can put peanut butter in the ends!

Let me first start by saying my dog is the same way. He is an absolute chewer. He will tear any toy I bring home in 30 sec. He chews so much that I had to take him to the vet because he ingested a string from a rope I bought him. I didn't know what to give him. Then during one of my dog sitting visits, I noticed she had a Bumi toy.

West Paw Design makes the best toys. They reasonably priced, and have a lifetime warranty, you can bring it back and they give you a new one. The Bumi Toys are by far the best I have come across. West Paw has other rubber options too and he loves those as well. They are wonderful! Rubber, no fabric to tear off, and they last a very long time. The first one I bought two years ago and is still in good shape. I recently bought a few more. Bosley (my dog) will sit there and amuse himself for hours with these.

I also like the Nylabone's, however if you buy those make sure you buy one big enough for your pet. Bosley snapped the first one I bought because I didn't buy the one for his size. I ended up buying the $22 one. They last a good amount but do need to be replaced after a while.

I have a tough chewer too. Kongs last but, she really isn't very interested in them for long. I put peanut butter inside to tempt her. That only lasts as long as the peanut butter remains. She destroys anything plush or stuffed. She even destroys thin plastic toys, especially with squeakers inside. Nylabones seem to be a huge hit. We also give her hooves and bones. Those are favorites. Good luck!

Looks like you have a ton of great answers here!
I have first hand experience with Kongs, Nylabones, Antlers and they all last through multiple dogs. Hoofs also last a very long time, but stink to high heaven, so for us was strictly an outdoor chew.

Big chunks of beef or bison femur or hip bones filled with marrow -- don’t supply significant dietary nutrition for your dog (they are not designed to be chewed up and swallowed, only gnawed on), but they do provide mental stimulation and are great for your pup’s oral health.

Do NOT give cooked bones to your dog= The cooking process makes bones more brittle, increasing the likelihood they might splinter and cause internal injury to your dog.

All Cycle Dog toys are made from recycled bike tires and are EXTREMELY durable. I have a monster chewer and she has't even made a dent in her hippo!! http://www.cycledog.com/product-category/toys/ecolast-rubber-toys/ (http://www.cycledog.com/product-categ...)

Lots of great answers! I really like Kong toys, they are durable and last much longer than the generic brands of tough toys. My Rottweiler doesn't destroy the Kongs hardly ever!

Kongs are great. A friend gave me a dragon dog toy when we adopted our dog Jan. 10th of this year. It has lasted through a Lot of dogs, dogs tugging and a puppy chewing on it. The tail was chewed off but it is double or triple stitched so the whole toy doesn't come apart. It is made from a material called "chew technology". You can find it on http://amazon.com, search under dog toys for "chew technology". They have them for small, med and large dogs. I Love this toy..

Elk, moose, and deer antlers are great. They're a little expensive but last a very long time.
