How much do you charge for a 2 hour visit?

I received a request for two hour visits three times a week and two dogs. Owners wants me to walk, brush and give them a bath. I usually charge for 30 minute visit. How much would you charge? Thanks

Hi Olga: Unless you want to offer a discount, a 2 hour visit would be 4 times the rate of your 30 minute visit. And if you charge for a second dog, you can include that or discount the second to zero. There are also grooming/bathing services you need to consider....do you normally charge extra for them? I charge $10 for a bath with a required booked walk (so I can have a relaxed dog for a bath). Do the owners want you to bathe both dogs at each visit?

If you charged for each service per visit, it would add up to a huge amount per day. You'll have to decide what amount would seem reasonable for the amount of work you need to do.

So 4 x 18 = $72.00 for a 2 hour visit for one dog, then add the second dog for $20. And then add a bath for both dogs at $30. That comes out to $122 per day (if the client wants both dogs bathed each day).

Thank you so much Mary. I will definitely considering this information for my future bookings. This request looks suspicious. The owner has not met me even once and is ready to send me a check to cash

Oh! Run away from that one! Of course, you know they would have to pay via credit card through Rover.....this looks suspicious to me too!

No, no, no, DO NOT ACCEPT CASH PAYMENTS. This goes against Rover's Terms of Service and will lead to you being suspended or dropped. This sounds like a scam request to me, especially if they want you to bathe the dogs every visit.

yeah definitely do not do ANY cash transactions outside of rover.........you WILL be suspended
