What if the client wants you stay for an hour or longer on drop in, do you charge extra?

Just wondering if a client wants you to stay with their pet for an hour or longer do you charge them more? How does that payment process work?

Comments

I charge $15 for a half hour and additional $10 for the next half hour. So $25 for an hour walk.

Cool thanks! That is what I was thinking. Is there a place to put that information on the additional rate section?

I tell people when they ask. Then i go into modify stay and swich the price.

As stated above, absolutely charge them more! Confirm before booking, be transparent about the extra charge, and get paid for your time.

Another viewpoint is IF this is a regular client with frequent needs and you sometimes have the availability, you could just give the canines the extra time (similar to allowing a grace period over 24 hours when boarding) and let the pet parent know of the time you spent there. - Loyalty relationship building
