What to put in the goodie bag?

I read about people giving goodie bags to their clients, when you put a toy in it do you just put a cheap $1 toy? I am curious because I don't want to spend a lot of money but I am not sure if it would be worse to put something cheap and possibly made in China. Thoughts?

Hi, Kathy! For my goodie bags, I usually include a toy ranging in price from $1-$3.50. I find them at PetSmart in the clearance bin or at places like TJMaxx, HomeGoods, and Marshalls. You can usually find toys on sale that are from the "last season," such as right now all of the summer toys are on sale at Petco and PetSmart as we move into fall. However, they are still perfectly good toys and now a steal at their price! I also include a handwritten thank you card and a business card for the client to use as as referral if needed. I buy the giant paper lunch sacks (they're about $1.50 for 50 bags) and dress them up with the dog's name in stickers and fold/hole punch the top to secure it with paw-printed ribbon.

I actually found an amazing Etsy contact that makes personalized doggie bone toys. I also order (on etsy) home made bones and customized bags to put the bone and treat in. Over all price is about 6 dollars. But I will tell you, the personalized toy goes a long way. Shows you have taken the time out and didn't just create bulk bags. The best is receiving a photo of the doggie home with their bone and name showing. I have provided the links below.
