Missing details on booking request?

I just received my second booking request. This one does not have all the details listed that I was certain were included on my first request. No dates, no indication of what service was requested and no price/total listed. I thought that odd....because I obviously can't do much without that information. When I looked on the Rover app, and I check the Pending folder there, I can at least see the title of the request says House Sitting, shows the dates and amount. I am certain I was able to see all of that information on the website for my first booking. Is this normal?

In addition, the owner apparently did not enter in his address....so I don't even know how far from me he lives to make sure I can help. I find it odd that the owner would be able to make a request without providing their address. Is this normal?

The booking request should show the dates requested, service requested and price. But for security reasons the clients address is not provided until the booking is accepted. Which is a pain in the butt because you need to ask the client right away where do they live so you can setup a meet and greet

I just received another booking, and this one (like the first request I received) did tell me how many miles the owner is from my home. The second request with the missing details - it actually had a message saying that the owner needs to provide their address. Very odd.

Something else....with my last 2 bookings (both received yesterday), the animal details (for whether animal is housetrained, fixed, gets along with others, etc) all say "Maybe". This isn't an option when completing a profile. Why would I receive such answers (which aren't helpful)?

You're right! The app is really lacking! There is no way to see distance from your home within the app. It is really annoying.

From what I can tell these are the you can't do on the app* but are available online:

  • See distance from your home (if it is already booked, you can click to take you to a map)
  • See the full list of individual dates for walks or drop-ins. (Usually shows up like "9/1 ... 9/20" or "9/1, 9/3 ... 9/20" so you're missing the middle bit)
  • Can't access your dog notes (because of that I never use them)

For me, I log into Rover.com on my phone so when a new requests comes in, I can see them on Rover's website to get all the details. After that, I'll respond to them via the app.
