What should I charge if a dog is left for almost 12 hours?

I have a client who wants to drop off their dog at 9 am and pick him up at 8:30 at night. Should I be charging more then my 20.00 day care rate? I was thinking of upping the rate to 25.00. Thanks for any input.

If you know the times when it's being booked, I'd advise that it should be booked for your nightly boarding rate of $30.

If you thought it was only for 8-9 hours, then $25 seems like a fair compromise, using extend a stay.

However, if times were never discussed, you may end up honoring the $20 rate and letting the client know it should have been more, (which is how I've handled it) if you want to create a long-term relationship with them and providing excellent customer service, especially if they'll frequently need services.
