Are Rover dog sitters (overnight in our home) bonded?

We have never used Rover in our home city and would like to know if your dog sitters in our home are bonded.

Hi, Bonnie. While there may be some sitters who are insured outside of Rover and would be bonded, Rover does not provide bonding for sitters. Unfortunately, I do not see a search filter to find sitters who are bonded either, so you may have to inquire whether or not the sitters you contact are bonded. All sitters must pass a background check before their profile is approved, so I hope that this makes you feel more comfortable! Rover does provide insurance that would cover any pet injuries or property damages incurred by a sitter. You can read further about the insurance provided by Rover here: https://www.rover.com/insurance/?ref=...

Bonding is only for business with employees. As a sole operator, you would not protect yourself from yourself, so bonding is moot. Insurance coverage for theft/damage/loss is all you need.

For instance, I have my own pet sitting insurance, plus there's Rover's insurance (not that I would need it). My insurance fits all my needs for walks, drop ins, and house sitting. Bonding would be only if I had employees....they would be bonded.
