What if dog won't stop barking?

Have high energy dog that won't stop barking. The owners warned me that she might be that way but she'd settle down quick. And if got too rough they could call brother. I work from home on phones and can't have a dog barking non stop. Do you think it'd be good idea to let her owners know that I won't be able to do it? I kinda wanna tough it out since first evening. But at same time, they're still in town so can stil make alternate arrangements for her....

Since it is her first evening with you, I'm sure she is still adjusting to be being at your home. Have you tried some activities such as going for a long walk, playing a game of fetch, or giving her something such as a treat-filled Kong toy to work on? Not only will some of these help with developing a bond between the two of you, they hopefully will tire her out some.

Her and my other puppy played/ ran for about 30 minutes hard core. But now it's raining :( I did give her Kong. but so far it's been about an hour of her barking non stop .....

Have you tried leaving a radio or TV on in the room where the dog is mainly staying? (I don't know the layout of your home for sitting pets)

I put some music on and eventually she settled. but at 5am she started back up again. I had to contact owners and cancel. I didn't want her to continue to be so stressed out.
