What should you do if you get really sick and can't come to sit?

What's the protocol for that? Or what if you got hit by a car, or otherwise ended up in the hospital? I recently sat for a couple of dogs for a week, while their owner was out of the country. I got sick, but I came to work anyway, because the dogs needed me. But what if I was incapable of coming to see them? I don't know anyone who could have covered for me on such short notice.

If you can't care for Rover dogs, you'd contact Rover support and they would reassign care of the dogs & payment to another Rover provider. I'd only use this option as a last resort as it will affect your status with Rover.

Andrew, if you are on Facebook, there is a sitter-to-sitter referral page for Rover users. It may be worth looking in to, just to see if there are others in your area that would be willing to help in the event of an emergency, illness, or overbooking: https://www.facebook.com/groups/96872... It is a closed group, so if the link doesn't work you can search on Facebook for "Rover.com Sitter to Sitter Referrals" and you should be able to find it.
