Do I need to cancel original dates if owner changes plans..and how do I do this?

Owner planned booking, changed plans and now has different dates. I had archived her request. Do I pull up the old request, ignore it, or just have her put in a new request?

You have a few different choices. You could call Rover and have them change the dates manually through their system on the original request that you had archived, you could have the owner request a new stay with the updated dates, or you could use the rebooking feature if you have the Rover app and they have used you as a sitter before to request a new stay with the new dates.

I had the same issue and contacted Rover about it. They said to cancel the stay, and describe in the comment box how the dates are changing, the price change, etc. Within 48 hours they change it.

I suspect they prefer it this way (instead of cancelling and rebooking) because they avoid the credit-card transaction fees of the refund and rebook.
