how can I email a request for a review?

When I started I was afraid to enter someone's email address. I wasn't sure how Rover would treat it, if they'd spam her. I created a junk email address, and sent the invite to myself. After I saw what Rover sends, and it didn't seem spammy, I gave her the URL (which was emailed to me) to write the testimonial.

I may have violated a term of service by doing that. But, I'm not comfortable handing out email addresses of friends. In the end it didn't seem like Rover abuses it. I don't think you have anything to worry about. But, if you want to see what they send, what they refer the person to, you can do what I did (or ask them if it's ok to do what I did.).

If Rover reads this, it would be nice if they made it more explicit what they're going to send, and that they won't add the person to a newsletter, emphasize their privacy policy on that screen, etc.

You can request that your friend write a testimonial for you from the Sitter Profile tab of the Dashboard:

Only Rover customers can write reviews and rate the service you've provided, but testimonials are good to have when you are starting out here.
