Once you have made the initial request, the sitter has 72 hours to respond. If you have not met the sitter before, most likely they will respond with a request for a meeting. A meet and greet is highly recommended just to ensure the sitter is the right person for your pet. It lets both you and the sitter get acquainted and answer any questions.

Once the meet and greet is done, the sitter can approve the stay and/or make any changes to the request. You then will be notified via email/text and asked to pay. You will have to pay for the stay up front using a credit card and have 72 hours to make payment.

You will receive a confirmation message via email, text and/or the Rover app. Additionally, your credit card will be charged.

If this is your first time using Rover, be aware that most sitters have some level of personal communication with clients before accepting a job; this frequently includes a Meet and Greet.

Good luck, and enjoy!
