How do testimonials work?

I petsit outside of this site as well. I want to know if I can get those people to write testimonials? I sent them a request but they said that there is no where to actually write anything.

You need their email address and through rover you can send them an email request for a testimonial. They help you get started but are shown "unverified" if they don't book through rover. Rover customer reviews show "verified". They are actual "reviews" and seem to hold more weight.

After a new rover customer has picked up, rover sends them a request for a review. Some customers don't do a review, some give a 5 star but no comments which only show in the # of reviews and others will give a 5 star and review once or twice a year. When I remember, I ask the customer if they would give me a review (if they were pleased with the stay :-)). When the new customer picks up, I brag, brag, brag about their pup and ask them if they loved the pictures and updates. If I get a really Great response, that is when I ask for the review.

I should have also stated that I found: Testimonials do help in the count, show that you have experience and I found that some potential customers don't read the profile, only look for the most reviews/testimonials and skim/read them.

I would try sending the request for a testimonial again. I don't know what it looks like at the recipient's end, but I would think there should be somewhere they can type something in. I sent a request to someone, and they didn't mention having any problems.

They must use a computer to write the review, I had same situation.

Yes, I received a request and the email came from Rover. There's a link, you write the review and submit. I believe they have to review it before it posts to the sitters profile.
