The Listed Archives Reasons are Never What I Need?
I dread the part of archiving a request where I have to select one of the very limited reasons for why the sitting didn't work out. It never feels like the right reason.
Such as, I had a person who wanted to drop their dog off extremely early in the morning, when I had both work and a test that day, and wouldn't have time to meet the dog ahead of time either. I figured the closest thing was that I "wasn't available" (since I didn't want to be up that early), but that also blocks you out for that day then, which I definitely did not want to be.
Also, just today I had a woman contact me an hour before and ask if I could walk her dog. Well, I'm not going to go to a house I've never been to and walk a dog I've never met. By the time I even went to archive it the time she had requested was passed (I messaged her back right away though).
Do you guys just select a random thing if you don't want the dates to be blocked out? And how do these archives to things like this hurt how you're listed?
I agree that the reasons are limited. There should be more options...like in your case, the clients did not want a meet & greet. I think some people are just "tire kickers"...like the people that are interested in finding out about the services, without having to actually hire for the services. Perhaps Rover should include "other" as an answer and then allow us sitters to explain?
