Booking a Meet & Greet from phone app?

I can' t seem to set up a meet & greet from my phone app. I was on the road yesterday when I received a sitting request and was able to respond via my phone, but could not set up a meet & greet...I had to turn around and head home to my computer to do so, which really frustrated me. Does anyone else have this problem? Do you think using a tablet would be easier? (I'm considering getting a tablet for mainly Rover business anyway).

i can't find meet and greet on the app. I have to use my laptop

Yes! It’s driving me crazy. Sometimes works somethings doesn’t. Rover has very poor communication. My text messages get garbled as well

It seems to me that sending an "official" (by using the button on your Dashboard) M&G message isn't a requirement. I did that for my first 2 sits, then realized it wasn't needed by Rover. Since then I have just communicated with the client through the usual text messages, setting up the M&G, but not sending an extra "official" notification.

Do you usually do the meet & greet away from home then? For overnight stays I think it's best to meet the pets in the overnight location but I'm a bit hesitant...do you also give them your personal info or does Rover provide it? Obvious new user here...

I watch dogs in my home and provide walks and drop in visits at the owner's home, so I hold the meet and greet wherever the dog will be for the stay - for boarding/daycare, I have the owners come to me, and for walks/drop ins I go to them. This requires at least an address to be exchanged before the M&G, and often I'll make sure the owner has my phone number to make sure they can reach me if for some reason Rover's system isn't working properly (it doesn't happen often, but I've had notifications for messages sent through Rover's website or app be delayed by minutes, or even hours, which isn't ideal if the owners are lost and need directions).

After a stay is booked, Rover releases the sitter's and owner's phone numbers to each other, and the address where the stay will occur. Both are listed in the stay itinerary along with the care instructions the owner leaves.

Agreed with Shannon. I sometimes use the 'official' M&G scheduler, but often I'll just propose a date and time in the body of the message and not worry about it. If you really want to use the Rover M&G option and find yourself away from home, I'd suggest proposing the M&G via the app and later, when it's convenient, sending the formal request from your computer.
