“Aruhi did a great job of keeping our dog entertained! By the end of the day, our pup was relaxed and tired :) If I go to Montreal again, I will definetly book the doggy daycare with her again!! Thank you so much Aruhi!!!!”

“Nicole did such an amazing job with our little Maggie! She was exhausted every night and happy to see her every morning! Diligent, kind and caring, I would trust her with any of my dogs!!”

“We had an amazing experience when Willie took care of our dog Beebo. Willie is caring, professional, communicative and accommodating. From our conversations together, it showed that Willie wanted to give our dog the best sitting experience. Our pooch has an injury right now and Willie asked a lot of questions to make sure that she would be the most comfortable during her stay. We strongly recommend him and will be reaching out to him again when back in the area.”

I've had dogs of all ages for over 15 years (Manchester Terriers, Staffy, Cavapoo). My life is incomplete without them. Nothing makes me sader than hearing about a dog home alone all day (especially crated) waiting for their human to come back at the end of the day. Let me be of service to you and your furry friend and provide a break of fresh air! :-) I work from home and take my own dog for at least 3 walks a day. Either in the parc out front (Légaré), on the trails or around the neighborhood. I can bring yours along and provide some socialization at the same time. We also have a fenced yard to run in. Always on leash and watching what's on the ground to avoid them eating things they shouldn't. I talk to them along the way and keep them out of harm's way. My walks are peaceful but at a good pace.
“Nomida a été absolument fantastique avec mon petit chiot. D’un tempérament un peu anxieux, elle a su le mettre à l’aise et m’a envoyé des photos tout au long de la journée. Il dormait comme un bébé sur le chemin du retour. Je recommanderais sans hésiter et j’ai bien hâte de renouveler l’expérience ☺️”

About: I've been taking care of my Shiba Inu, Takita, for almost 3 years, and she’s taught me a lot! Shibas are energetic, stubborn, and full of personality, so I know how to handle active and independent dogs. I also grew up with dogs since my parents always had them around, so I’ve been used to caring for them my whole life. I love spending time with dogs, whether it's going on walks, playing, or just giving them some extra attention. Takita is super friendly and would love to have some friends over for playtime! Feel free to schedule a pre-visit so we can meet and make sure it’s a great fit. Looking forward to taking care of your pup! I speak EN/FR/ES 😊 I work from home so I will have plenty of time to be with your dog. I sometimes have to go to the office but only for a couple of hours. I have a fenced yard where they can run around safely, and Takita will be more than happy to have a playmate! I also have a crate available if needed.
“J'ai adoré le service reçu par Stéphanie et je sais que mon chien c'est bien amusé la bas . Je renverrais ma boule de poil chez Stéphanie dès que j'en aurais l'occasion . Charmante et aimable je recommande à 1000 pourcent”

About: Hello there! my name is Amira, and I am a passionate animal lover with years of experience in dog sitting and caring for various breeds and personalities. I had dogs and cats since a very young age and displayed a profound interest in learning about the different breed's characteristics, as well as about how to interact, play and create a bond with them. Throughout the years of experience and dedication I have developed skills and ease on how to naturally establish complicity with animals, as well as how to adjust my approach and care to the dog's character. I understand that each dog is unique and has specific needs, and I am dedicated to providing personalized care tailored to your preferences and requirements and can easily establish complicity with them. I know how to train dogs to learn the basics. I also have some experience with dogs displaying behavioral issues and will gladly provide some tricks to help the dog improve, be less anxious or nervous when they see other mates. I'm flexible; I am willing to accommodate your schedule and your dog's routine to provide a stress-free experience for both you and your pet. I genuinely love dogs and will treat your pet with the same love and care as if they were my own. You can count on me to be punctual, reliable and responsible in providing care for your pet. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss your dog's needs and schedule a meet-and-greet. I can't wait to meet your furry friend and provide them with love and attention and tailored care. Thank you for considering me as your dog sitter. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your beloved pet! Amira Im currently only working from home part-time from the computer (2 hours) and will have plenty of time to look after, care and play with your pet. A typical playful day of care involves engaging in stimulating activities, providing attention and lots of love to ensure your pup is happy, well cared for and relaxed while you're away. We can agree on a Meet & Greet session before taking in your pets, which can be scheduled prior to the sit dates if you wish to make you and your pack more comfortable and ensure that care is tailored and suited to their needs.

She kept me updated all day long with photos and videos And she was easy to coordinate with about drop off and pick up time, and she accommodated my 12 hours work shift”

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Rosemère commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
