She did a great job look after Jasper. Kept us updated with photos and how he was doing. Was taken on a long walk with lots of exercise and fun. She was accommodating of our late schedule and stayed for a bit longer than we originally requested. Highly recommend!

About: Our experience petsitting has been so inspiring and eye-opening. Petsitting has enabled us to live and visit Leeds (UK), Halifax, Montreal, Brossard, St-Bruno, Quebec (Canada) Vermont, New Hampshire (USA) and Seville (Spain). We are so grateful for the opportunities that petsitting has opened up for us. The sits have ranged from 2 weeks - 1 month at a time, with pets ranging from young to elderly dogs, young to old cats, rabbits, fish and more. We have experience administering medication and supporting the animals through end-of-life care. Taking care of plants is also a joy of ours! The animals we have cared for hold a special place in our hearts and it's always difficult saying goodbye. I am currently an online English teacher, starting their own teaching academy, so I work remotely and love to give love and affection to animals whilst I work. I work remotely, so if you have needy pets, we will be at home the majority of the time! Our apartment can only hold one small dog and one cat at a time, we do not have a garden however, we take the dogs out for several walks and toilet breaks.

About: Hi! My name is Véronique, and I’m a true animal lover. I have two cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet while you’re away. I work primarily from home, which allows me to provide plenty of companionship, supervision, and individualized care throughout the day. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I live in a quiet home in Saint-Lazare, surrounded by great walking trails and green spaces. To ensure every pet receives the attention they deserve, I only care for a small number of animals at a time. You’ll receive regular updates and photos during your pet’s stay, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re in caring hands. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for as if they were part of my own family. ******* Bonjour!

About: Hello. I was a registered Vet Tech for 10years. So, I am able to administrator medications via mouth or injections if required during your pets stay. I had owned cats, dogs, rats, hamsters, etc. I love animals and can't imagine not having them in my life. I work full time from home. So pet care is easy. Especially with a fully fenced back yard. As mentioned, being previously a registered Vet Tech I can do care that most people cannot. I have a fenced yard with a friendly dog who has lived with cats his whole life, but do not have any cats at present.

Carolina & Francisco B. will be by far our first choice when we need a dog sitter. It was a first time home away for our son (Ranga, a 9 months old toy poodle). He literally had a great time. He made two new friends, Cleo and Lola:) During that time, she kept sending us the text messages, pictures and videos about Ranga, eliminating the stress of leaving our dog behind for the first time. We would be happy to use the services again.

Choosing a dog sitter for your furry friend can be nerve-wracking, especially when your dog, like my 80lb Weimaraner, has specific needs such as separation anxiety and lots of energy to spend. Anh was able to accommodate my dog-sitting needs at the last minute which was truly helpful. What truly sets her apart is her absolute commitment to the dog's well-being. From the moment I dropped my dog at her place, she put emphasis on making him feel comfortable. Her gentle and well-trained 8-year-old dog set a calm and welcoming mood, helping my dog relax and acclimate almost instantly. She made me feel comfortable caring for Taffy, showcasing her previous experience handling big breeds, making me comfortable leaving Taffy under her care. She is incredibly attentive and provides regular feedback in the form of messages and photos, updating me on his behavior, mood, and activities, which provided incredible peace of mind. This wasn't just a quick check-in; it was insightful communication that showed how closely she was observing and caring for him. I can confidently say that booking with Anh was the best choice. If you are looking for a dog sitter who treats your dog like their own and provides professional, customized care—even for the biggest of pups—I wholeheartedly recommend her services.

About: Pet care/self-care, all beings need this. Animals have a sovereign spirit, and domesticated animals depend on us. I may be in touch with another person or animal in play and work. When I think "I'm on a walk,” the dogs is on tour of neighborhood messages on bushes, trees, concrete. I know about “time to play,” or “gotta pee” messages. I bring: honesty, alertness, openness, confidence, respect and mutual understanding. I practice these with my human and animal friends. Thanks for reading. I have gained much personally by taking care of dogs and continue practicing these principles as they apply to people and dogs. Howl! Woof! Yap! Hmmm. pfffft Woof! Yap! Hmmm Alan [traduction bientôt] I live in Oka and serve this region. Available over the holidays. Thank you for reading and paying attention. Contact me for any further details. There is fenced in space next to the house and there's lots of space to walk in the country on leash. Need to know your animals usual exercise patterns.

My dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for, she loved her walk by the river and playing with their dog. It was very nice to get photo updates and there was clear communication throughout. They were friendly, reliable, and able to accommodate our pick‑up and drop‑off times and speak both French and English. Excellent service, would absolutely rebook.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Rigaud

Frequently asked questions about Rover

There are 936 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Rigaud. About 86% of Rigaud sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Rigaud commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 85% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
