Bree was more than attentive to Molly, my 10 week old Boston Terrier. She updated me throughout the day and sent some really great photos. The other pets in Bree’s household were well behaved and played nicely with Molly. I feel confident leaving Molly with Bree and know she will always be taken good care of. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Oz was fantastic! he took Buck for multiple walks everyday and played with him. he was very attentive and went above and beyond what I expected. Following the first day with Oz, Buck was very excited when we mentioned seeing him again! Bonus, he was exhausted after every day! Oz was very accommodating with our schedule! Oz truely has a passion for taking care of dogs and I will definitely be taking Buck there again in the future.

About: I grew up with pets and have loved them ever since. I have had many furry friends over the years and appreciate the company of a good dog. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine. With working from home on a regular basis, looking after a dog works well. I just lost our old Golden Retriever Rosie this summer and it has left a hole in my heart, especially her furry companion, Finn the ragdoll cat. If you have a Great Friendly Dog that is Totally comfortable with cats, please reach out to me as I would love to give them some love while you are away. I love hiking and walking so would look forward to doing this with your furry friend. I have a fenced back yard but would expect to give good daily walks for your dog. They could be in and out of the house as they wish.

Doggy Day Care

Bree is absolutely THE BEST Rover dog sitter I’ve ever had. From the moment I reached out, she was incredibly accommodating—even with my last-minute request. She arranged a meet-and-greet the same morning, and after spending time with her, her two dogs, and her cats, I felt completely comfortable leaving my 2 year old dog Senna in her care. Her home is a dream for pets, with a spacious backyard, well-maintained fences, plenty of grass, and fresh water available inside and out. Bree’s dogs are exceptional—Vash, is a 4 year old Alaskan Malamute mix. Such a gentle, loving boy and caring, while her younger dog, Rayna, is a playful Alaskan Malamute female around 1–2 years old. She is very sweet, attentive, and has great energy. Both dogs immediately understood how to interact carefully with my tiny 9 lb dog, making sure he was safe, comfortable, and included while playing. Being around Bree’s cats also helped my dog feel more comfortable around cats because he got to approach them without them running away, which was wonderful to see. Bree treats every pet as her own. She prioritized Senna’s safety, comfort, and well-being, carefully following all my instructions—including my very specific food requests. She sent frequent photo updates throughout the day, showing exactly what the pets were doing, which gave me complete peace of mind. I got a few photos every 40 minutes. More than I've ever had before and I loved it! She even offered to give my dog a bath because she noticed his paws were dirty—how often do you find someone who goes that extra mile? I’m so grateful that Bree is on Rover. If you’re nervous about using Rover for the first time, or if you have a dog like mine who gets anxious being away from their owner, who makes noises or howls, Bree is the perfect fit. She’s the only Rover sitter I’ve had who was able to help Senna feel comfortable away from Mommy and have fun in his own element with new friends and humans around. Thanks to her, he had a fantastic day and came home completely exhausted from all the play! I’ve already booked her again for the weekend because I trust her completely. Bree is professional, loving, knowledgeable, and has an amazing way with animals. She’s a true gem, and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Pembroke on Rover is $38.85 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pembroke commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
