Aijun took great care of our three cats for three nights. It was the first time I left my cats alone, so I was a bit stressed. However, during the meet-and-greet session, Aijun was very reassuring, and I felt confident leaving my cats in her care. She paid attention to every detail, providing them with everything they needed: fresh water, food, a clean litter box, plenty of playtime, and cuddles. She sent me videos and photos regularly and promptly answered all my questions. All three of my cats love her so much. I’m very happy with everything she did and will definitely ask for her help next time.

About: I am a huge animal lover and a Dog Whisperer as some of my friends call me. I have been a dog owner as long as I remember. I already have a furry kid Bella, who is very friendly with other dogs and loves play dates with her friends. I am used to dog walking and pet sitting for my family, friends and neighbors. When we moved from US, we had to face many issues in regards to Bellas transport and stay and I know the feeling when you are unable to give your fur kid the best of best while moving or when you are on a much needed vacation. I will always keep you updated with the photos of your pet having fun. I will be right here when you need someone to take care of your pet just as part of a family! Doggy Day Care - Saturday, Sunday and Holidays Doggy Boarding - Friday Evening after 5.30 to Sunday Night 8.00 Dog Walking - Saturday and Sunday Someone would always be with your pup during his/her stay at our place. Depending on the energy of the pup and weather, we will head out for multiple walks in the park or stay inside playing. We have a fenced backyard which would be accessible for play time. In case its snowing or raining hard, we prefer to stay inside and have fun playing with toys, balls and what not? 😊

I worked with an animal shelter and multiple non-profit organizations as well as relatives & friends. I'm now extending my help here hoping to bring peace of mind to some in need of it :). I additionally am soon starting studies in dog & cat grooming. Specific & special needs, allergies, handicaps, seniors, and many more, each and every one of your companions are as worthy of our love and care (with a small bias for the seniors ;). I am looking forward to meeting your doggies and kitties and lend you a paw! I am considering studying however still awaiting to start, I currently have almost full time availability in terms of selection of days. Let's try to make it happen within your needs shall we! My services are always one on one with your pet(s). I do not mix clients unless specifically requested and solely if all animals previously met eachother without problems. For my own safety and the one of animals under my care coming in contact with equipment used between different homes, I require up to date vaccination for dogs and cats alike. I wash and clean my equipment regularly but I much rather be safe than sorry <3. A form with all necessary information in case of emergency follows me at all time as well. The welfare of your companion is and will always be my #1 priority.

Sofia stayed at our home for three weeks, looking after our dog and our cat, as well as the home, while we away on vacation. She is very easy to communicate with. We received regular updates and photos of our pets during this period from her. Not just our dog, but surprisingly our cat evidently liked her and we could tell she was genuinely affectionate towards them and needless to say, she took very good care of them. Sofia also followed all the instructions to the point. I would definitely recommend her to others who are looking for a trusted petsitter.

About: I’ve had a soft spot for animals since I was young and loved helping care for my friends’s pets, gaining great experience with different kinds of animals. I also grew up with a Boxer/Lab mix, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. For the past two years, I’ve worked as a dog groomer assistant, where I’ve learned how to keep pets safe, comfortable, and gently handle unique dog characters. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and truly at home while you’re away — belly rubs and tail wags included! 🐶🐾 I work full-time, so I’m most available on weekends and before or after work hours. However, I’m happy to be flexible and make time for your pets whenever needed. I’m really attentive and love giving your pet lots of love and care. I’ll make sure they get plenty of potty breaks and time to stretch their legs. Whether your pet is at my place or yours, I keep things safe, clean, and cozy for them.

FAQs for House Sitting - Otterburn Park

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,106 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Otterburn Park. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Otterburn Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Otterburn Park walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Otterburn Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
