We were really nervous about leaving our pup for multiple days because he’s only 4 months old and we had never left him before, but from the moment we met Cindy, we immediately felt comfortable and at ease. We are super over the top with our dog, we have a million toys, stairs for the couch, a crate, a playpen, and I even printed out a 4-pager of instructions because I’m THAT dog mom haha! Cindy literally took it all in with no issue at all, she was amazing about training our pup and sticking to his routine, she took him out to pee every couple of hours, and literally he just got to be snuggled and loved constantly everyday. About: I have had cats and dogs my entire life and have had my own cats and dogs as an adult on my own as well. I am certified in the Canadian Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR. I am very familiar with dog and cat communication and behaviours and how to work with both animals to ensure they are cared for properly. I currently have a cat named Rosie and a dog named Annie. Annie is 2 and loves playing with other dogs. She is fully vaccinated and very friendly. She’ll help burn out the energy of other dogs at the dog park no problem! I have also had experience owning other small household pets as well. Since I have the time and experience, I am looking to assist in helping people find care for their pets while they are at work or away from home. I work retail full-time so my schedule is kind of all over the place, but I’ll try to make your requests work if possible! I have a fully fenced backyard and a large doggy door so that your fur baby will be able to use the door if needed and go outside as they wish to play/ use the bathroom. However, I will also monitor them in case they do not use this doggy door (Annie will show them how to use it!). I am certified by the Canadian Red Cross in Pet First Aid and CPR. I will also send hourly updates from 8 am to 8 pm to send a photo or advise on how your dog is doing and what they are up to. when taking dogs out for walks, I will ensure they are kept off of busy streets and only walk them when the pavement is not too hot for their paws/ grass or trail walks only. If taking dogs to the dog park, I will ensure they are monitored closely to ensure they are in a safe and happy environment without aggressive dogs. I will monitor pets eating and pooping and advise if there are any issues. I will ensure they have enough clean drinking water (we used Brita Filtered water). In the event the dog gets muddy or dirty I can bathe them as well.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid, and it’s always been second nature to me. Dogs in my care are treated with love, attention, and lots of pampering! I’m also a certified groomer, trained in breed-specific cuts, coat care, and gentle handling. If your pup needs a bath, tidy-up, or full groom during their stay, I’m happy to help them look and feel their best. I’m home full-time, so your dog will never be left alone for long hours and will get plenty of supervision, snuggles, and play throughout the day. My husband, my 16-year-old son, and I can take dogs for walks on a daily basis, more than twice a day. Our backyard is large and flat, fully fenced and with plenty of grass, allowing them to play outside while we're home and under our watchful eye. Our 4-bedroom bungalow is a safe haven with ample space for dogs to roam and play. They're welcome on our couch, whose covers are washed and replaced daily, and they can hang out in our bedrooms and basement—the only places they're not allowed are our beds.

“I left my 15 year old cat with Taryn for 14 days. He is extremely bonded with me and is quite sociable at home in his own familiar surroundings. Bailey had a difficult time adjusting to new surroundings without his people and pretty much stayed in one area of the house. Taryn was good at sending updates and pictures regularly. She spent quality time with Bailey assuring he was in a safe place. Sure enough just days before I came to get him did he get more courageous to tour more of her house. When I picked Bailey up, he looked almost healthier than when I dropped him off although he wasn’t ill. I’m so very thankful I met Taryn. She’s very knowledgeable about feline behaviour and has a huge heart for all animals. Bailey is ecstatic to be home with his person and we are both very thankful for the love and care he received.”

We have made tremendous progress over the last year with her. I am available between 7 and 6 Monday to Saturday. Sundays and holidays can also be accommodated. My flexible schedule means that I can provide care on your schedule. I know that timing and routine are important to your pet and yourself, and I am punctual and dependable. I understand how important the safety of your furry friend is to you. Should your pet join us in our home, they will have the opportunity to enjoy our fully fenced back yard during play time. During walking times, there are many lovely trails and pathways in our quiet residential neighborhood that we can enjoy together.
