“Katherine is absolutely incredible, from the first time you meet her and her adorable daughter you can see how much they absolutely adore animals! I was constantly updated about rozie and the pictures and videos were absolutely heartwarming. Rozie can’t wait to go back to this incredible house with some incredible people. Do your animal a favour and see if you’ll be lucky enough for Katherine to look after your animal.”

“Heather was 10/10 during the whole process. It was our first time user rover and she made everything seem so flawless! She constantly sent photos and updates and when there was a change of plans, Heather didn’t hesitate! I will definitely be booking my girly with her again!”

“Jillian was amazing. Lots of updates with photos. Our Luna really seemed to love her. She also took Luna on some good hikes/walks as she requires lots of exercise. Will definitely use her again!!”

“Tyson loved his stay! We appreciated being able to leave him with Susan and Brian in their home and their wonderful care while away. Great communication/pics sent. Will definitely use again. Thank you!”

“Max has never stayed away - and as a nervous pet owner - I was reassured throughout his stay with updates and pictures! I couldn't have asked for a better experience :)”

About: Our family provides pet care together, with myself and my husband, Vitaly, being fully responsible for all pets in our care. Our 11-year-old daughter is also deeply involved and passionate about animals. She has completed courses through the local Humane Society and is currently finishing a pet sitter course. She loves helping with walks, playtime, feeding, brushing, and giving animals lots of affection under our supervision. We also have another 8 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Animals are already a meaningful part of our family life, and we are planning to welcome our own dog within the next two years. In many ways, pet care has become a beautiful opportunity for us to spend time with dogs while continuing to learn and prepare as future dog owners ourselves. As a family, we enjoy learning about dog behaviour, training, and care, and even love watching Cesar Millan together. We have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. We have completed both a 10-day farm sitting stay in the summer and a 7-day stay in the winter for close friends with a hobby farm that includes two dogs, a cat, goats, chickens, and other animals. Our responsibilities included daily feeding, animal care, cleaning, outdoor chores, and even milking goats. In addition, we have experience fostering dogs in our home, providing pet care for friends and neighbours, dog walking, and drop-in visits/check-ins for bathroom breaks and companionship. One summer, we also helped a neighbour with daily noon-time puppy check-ins for six weeks while they were at work. We are a calm, caring, outdoorsy family who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. We are best suited for dogs who are comfortable around children and reasonably calm around cats. We do have a cat in the home, though she has her own quiet spaces and hiding spots where she can retreat comfortably when needed. My husband and I both work as entrepreneurs mostly from home. We do sometimes leave the house for around 2-4 hrs for different activities with our homeschooled children. Sometimes we can bring dogs with us, sometimes they need to stay at the house. Our family like to take regular walks in the morning and evening so we don’t need to change our routine too much when we add a dog to the house. We have a fenced yard and three level house. We are extra tidy when dogs are around and are careful with leaving food out. We once had a dog eat a brick of butter from the counter…let’s say we learned our lesson!
“Cindy made us feel very comfortable with leaving our girl with her. This was our first time using Rover and I’m so happy we picked Cindy. She has excellent communication skills and made sure to send pictures throughout Maple’s stay. We will absolutely take Maple back to Cindy’s next time we are going away.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better family to take care of my 10 year old Goldendoodle, Ginger! Anne and Andrew were amazing with caring for her while I was overseas for two months! Anne kept me in the loop with tons of updates and pictures. You could tell Ginger really grew attached to them, and she seemed so comfortable and happy there. She was spoiled and allowed up on the couch and even cuddled up in their bed! They also have an older Goldendoodle who’s the sweetest, and they got along so well. Their place is beautiful, safe, and perfect for dogs. I’d absolutely trust them with Ginger anytime and will definitely use them again. Anne and Andrew are truly wonderful dog sitters!”

“Having Richard care for my dog gave me great relief as a first time Rover customer. Everything seemed quite seamless. Richard was very welcoming and showed me some of the area of his home where my dog would be spending some time there. And the backyard was a nice big fenced in area!! Definitely would recommend his services and will utilize his help again!”

“Sara took excellent care of our energetic Airedale terrier. He had multiple walks, a clean and spacious house, and large fenced backyard. She sent us plenty of photos and updates, and we knew that our dog was very well cared for. They have 2 friendly, non-aggressive dogs that played well with our dog. I highly recommend Sara and Cody for anyone who wants exceptional care for their dog.”

“Angi was phenomenal every step of the way! From coordinating the weekend to the actual dog sitting, it was a great experience and we were so happy/comfortable. Highly recommend and I would rebook with Angi when we’re in the area in the future!”

“Nikol is absolutely amazing! I know how much my dog 'Buddy' enjoyed his time at her home because he was so excited when we picked him up... but exhausted on the way home. I was told he ran around and played with her dog all day. I really appreciated the messages and photos from Nikol about what he got up to, it made me feel so comfortable leaving him for the day! Would definitely book her again and highly recommend her.”

“Jessica and family treated my dog, Cooper, just like he was their own and I knew he was in good hands from the moment I met them. They sent many updates, including photos and videos. I will definitely be using their dog sitting services again and highly recommend them!”

“Thank you Janine and family for taking such good care of my golden girl. The photos (and her exhaustion!) are testament to a good time had. Hope Rosie had as much fun! Until our next visit...”

“Kim is a great dog sitter who really cares about the dogs in her care. I received photos, videos and updates throughout they’re stay with her which allowed me to truly enjoy my time away for a family celebration of my granddaughter’s wedding”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was little. I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have an Australian Shepherd of my own along with a cat and a bunny! My dog would love to join all of the adventures but also understands that not everybody wants to be friends! I am currently work a part time job and have a flexible schedule! I am available mornings, afternoons and nights! This includes weekends as well. I have an unfenced yard and my dog is let outside by leash. This is compensated by MANY walks in a day and lots of adventures. My home is spacious and my dog is extremely welcoming and loves to make fur friends.
“Ashley was incredibly accommodating with an out-of-the-norm pick-up times and with a last minute booking. Her property has plenty of space for the dogs to play and my dog loved spending time with her pups. She was very communicative and stayed in touch over the weekend. Only downside - my pup came home smelling quite strongly of cigarette smoke. Other than that, would book again!”

“My little one Rigby stayed at Jennifer’s for two days. Jennifer kept us up to date throughout the stay and we had peace of mind the whole time we were away. When we picked her up she was in very good spirit, very happy to see me though, but also very at home at Jennifer’s home, telling me she had a good time away from home and was well cared for. Huge thank you!”

I also offer a complimentary meet-and-greet before the first booking so I can get to know your cat, their routine, their care needs and any other important details ahead of time.

“Ashley and Joshua are hands down the best cat sitters I’ve ever had! They took such amazing care of my two cats, sent regular updates, spent tons of quality time with them, and even grabbed more food when I ran low (totally my fault!). I came home to happy cats and a spotless house. I’m so grateful for them and will absolutely be booking again. Highly recommend!”

I'm currently enjoying my college life and being with pets gives me a plentiful worthy time to spend with these cuties.Even I have an innovative way of training puppies. I always try to maintain a safe environment for these fur babies and always use to clean and refill the empty bowls and never make them feel bored.
“A charming caring lady who will do her best with your cat! My cat liked to hide under the bed, but Kimberly was able to coax her out for socializing and meals. I will definitely be using her again if travelling abroad! 5 stars!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for friends and family and am comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, and basic care. I’m patient, attentive, and focused on keeping dogs safe, happy, and active. I follow instructions carefully and always make sure each dog gets the attention and exercise they need. I make sure each pet gets my full attention, and I’m able to adjust my schedule to meet different needs, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. About: Happy to walk a dog or two. I usually have my kids and dog in tow on walks, but am flexible if that’s not ideal. Our 12yo dog Kutsu (medium sized border collie mix from Japan) is great with other dogs and loves to run, play and explore. He mostly just keeps to himself though and avoids conflict. I am a full time mom looking for extra cash and love dogs, and so do the kids of course. The kids are so far very gentle with our dog and other dogs we’ve had here. We aren’t hosting at this time but will again soon! We're more than happy to accommodate any special needs. We are well-versed in the cone of shame, allergies, and giving medications. I used to be a nurse so learning on the job is my specialty. We believe in positive reinforcement training and have used an e-collar in the past until it wasn’t necessary anymore. Please feel free to talk to us more about how we can support you and your best friend! I am a stay at home mom so I make my own schedule and am very flexible. I am good with last-minute or planned visits. All depends on the needs of the dog. If they like to be left alone, cool. If they need meds, cool. If they need walks all day, cool. We can accomodate!
About: Growing up we constantly had many different pets. May it be cats, dogs, birds or even fish. I love animals and the joy they bring, so as soon as I got my license I started a successful pet sitting business back home. Now that I have moved to Port Hope, I am looking to start back providing care and assistance to my fellow neighbors and their beloved animals. I am extremely patient and kind. I love all animals and if I am not familiar with a particular care process, I am happy to learn. I look forward to being able to provide my services to anyone who needs it. I do currently work 8.30 to 4.30 Monday to Friday but my work is on a hybrid model and I live close to work. I am willing to come and help before work, after work and even on my lunch breaks if needed. My weekends are very open and flexible as well. I currently rent and have 2 cats, so taking care of your pet in my home is possible but restricted. While taking care of pets in their home. I will abide by all house rules. I will visit your home and provide a minimum of 3 walks a day for drop ins, if I am housesitting then more care will be provided. I will also brush your pets and if you wish more grooming services, this can always be discussed.

About: I grew up with many pets in my house - 3 dogs and 2 cats! I went for daily walks with the dogs in my local ravine growing up. Each dog having it's own very unique personality and quirks provided me with a breadth of experience. I believe obedience and rules are the foundation of a well behaved dog. As well, a well exercised dog is a well behaved dog. Structure is very important and I will always make a dog work for their treat. I try to continue any on-going training for the dogs I am walking or sitting. I was finally able to get my own dog as an adult - who I have had since 2021. I rescued my dog, Arlo, when he was ~4 months, and have given him a loving home since! I worked with a trainer when I got to him and learned a lot about dog (and human) behaviours. I am home during the days with a flexible schedule, so walks at any time of the day can work. Generally a morning, lunchtime, or late afternoon walk are the preferred times. I currently have daily mid-day regulars that I walk. Depending on the dogs personality and suitability with other dogs, I walk with a pack or individually. If a dog is staying with me, I take them on a walk first thing if their owner hasn't already done so. This way, they are starting on the best foot forward. I have a dog at home, so I do an intro of the dogs on 'neutral' territory, there is a laneway and Bruce trail across from so I ask that their owner does a quick walk with the dogs and myself. I do potty breaks every 0-2 hours, either to go on a short walk, or ball throw. I also do 5-10 minute training sessions to keep the dogs entertained and stimulated. I also ask that the dogs bed and an article of clothing of the owners comes with them, so they have a space that is their own and familiar. This will help the dog settle in. Favourite toys or treats are also recommended.
“Michelle is fantastic! She took such great care of Oakley. She is a great communicator, attentive and caring. Oakley had the best time hanging with Michelle and Molly! I will absolutely have Michelle dog sit for Oakley again in the future.”

“Heather took care of our puppy for doggy day care. She took him out for walks and was very responsive in her communications. I would recommend Heather for doggy day care.”

“My experience with Richard was great! He was available last minute for my girls. He updated me a lot and thats always amazing. Ill be happy to have him watch my girls again :)”

“Rieko was great with Bebe! She watched her only for a few hours but made me feel comfortable in leaving Bebe with her. She was super sweet in taking my last minute request. Prompt with pick-up and drop-offs. I’d definitely recommend Rieko to watch your pets! Thank you!”
“We were so happy to have found Jill to watch our dog while we were visiting from out of town . She was a short drive from the village and was flexible with drop off and pick up time , allowing us to explore and enjoy blue mountain and pick up after dinner. She was easy to communicate/coordinate with and was able to accommodate a last minute request to add my brother’s dog to our booking. Thankful to have found a safe and fun place for the dogs to spend their days. They both had a great time.”

“Janine and her family gave Sadie a wonderful time when we had to leave her for the evening while on holiday in Simcoe County. Between the kids and their lovely dog Rosie, Sadie was showered with affection and I received pics showing her on lovely walks in their part of the county. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and would highly recommend Janine as a dog-sitter for others!”

About: My husband and I own a beautiful 100-acre farm in Grey Highlands, 40-minutes from Arthur, and about a 60-minute commute from the GTA. Both of us are avid animal lovers, who are 'addicted' to rescuing. We are a foster family for Sato Saved Dog Rescue out of Brantford, ON and occasionally have foster dogs in our care. Dog-Sitting History... - Worked at Countryside Boarding & Grooming for three years - I have been dogsitting family and friend's dogs since 2013 - Both of us have a combined 16-years experience with dogs A Little About Us... - My husband is a Heavy-Equipment Mechanic out of the GTA - I am a Graphic Designer who works from home full-time - We have a pack of seven rescue dogs - We have six dog-savvy indoor/outdoor cats - Our property is partially fenced (not ideal for flight risk dogs) - We have two large ponds on the property - Lots of space for dogs to run around and play Routine... - First potty time is 4:00 am when my husband leaves for work (this is optional) - Second potty time is between 7:30 am and 8:00 am, and they are let out for an hour - Lunchtime potty is around 12:00 pm, and they are let out for an hour - Dinner time is between 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Bedtime potty is between 11:00 pm - 12:00 am *Throughout the day, the dogs are let out as they want, with many short breaks throughout the day. Outside duration is also determined by weather, if it's really gross out - the time will be shortened. *Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any un-fixed dogs (male & female) over the age of 6-months - No Acceptions* Meet-and-Greets... Before a new dog comes into our care, we request that we do one to two meet-and-greets. This gives us the chance to meet you and your dog and see the chemistry / energy with our pack. This also gives you a chance to see our home, property, and meet our dogs. Incidents & Accidents... We believe in 100% transparency when we have dogs in our care. We never want anything to happen when your dog(s) are in our care, but, we always say they are children with teeth. Disagreements can happen, but we do our best to avoid any of that behaviour. When your dog(s) are here, we will give you day-to-day updates; whether it be on their eating habits, bowel movements, upset stomachs, accidents in the house, and even scratches and cuts. We want you to have absolute trust in us, while your dog(s) are with us. Outdoor Safety... For the most part, when dogs are a part of a pack they stick together. However, this isn't always the case should a dog like to wonder OR not have the best recall. In these situations, we like to leash the dog until they gain our trust - we use a long lead, and as they continue their stay here we work on using the leash less and less. We have had a lot of success with this, but each dog is different and we treat them as such! Home Environment... - Dogs sleep in our mudroom at the back of our house* - Small crates can be accomodated, but they are not necessary - We have lots of blankets & beds in the mudroom - Dogs are permitted on our furniture on the main floor (couches) - The mudroom acts as a 'holding area' when they are muddy or wet *Dogs are thoroughly tested in our mudroom prior to bedtime, to make sure that there are no issues, toys are removed at bedtime as well. Typically, the dogs are so tired at the end of the day that bedtime goes off without a hitch. Cleaning Routine... We take great pride in our home, and cleanliness is very important not only for ourselves but for our animals' well-being as well. I use Nature's Miracle Stain & Odour Remover + Vinegar and Water to clean floors and walls. This is done frequently as I have a little OCD regarding the cleanliness of the home. This is done both during dog visits and after each dog visit.
“Tobie took to her right away, she was prepared at the met with a book to take notes to fully care for our Diabetic dog. “Jennifer was amazing. While booking she was quick to respond and answer any questions we had. On the day of she reconfirmed the booking, showed up on time, went for a very nice long walk with our dog and made sure everything was closed and locked on her way out. The report after the walk had nice photos too! We will be booking again with her in the future!”

“Heather was 10/10 during the whole process. It was our first time user rover and she made everything seem so flawless! She constantly sent photos and updates and when there was a change of plans, Heather didn’t hesitate! I will definitely be booking my girly with her again!”

“Tyson loved his stay! We appreciated being able to leave him with Susan and Brian in their home and their wonderful care while away. Great communication/pics sent. Will definitely use again. Thank you!”

“Pam was wonderful with Kalie; I highly recommend her. She kept in contact throughout her stay and sent many pictures of Kalie which put my mind at ease. Kalie takes daily meds and when she would take her pills in the morning Pam was able to pill her iwhich was a great relief. Not to mention that she left the house super clean — which I completely appreciate. Thanks Pam!”

“Harley absolutely loved her weekend stay with Katie! The photos, videos and constant updates were amazing and made us feel so comfortable knowing that Harley was in good hands. Katie's place is the perfect vacation spot for any dog who loves meeting new friends. It is like a giant dog park! We will be back for sure.”

“We were very pleased with the care Dex received with Jessica. She sent updates and pictures often which gave us peace of mind and very secure. Dex was well taken care of and she really cared for him. I would definitely use her again.”

About: “I've grown up with cats and a dog. now care for my own dog, Sprocket and 4 cats. Sprocket I've personally trained with daily hands-on work and support from K9 Academy classes. I'm home full-time, so I’m used to giving pets the time, patience, and structure they need. I understand animal behavior, basic emergency response, CPR and first aid, and Heimlich for dogs, and I create a safe, calm environment whether your pet loves play, cuddles, or quiet companionship.” Check my boys instagram to see training I've done at Myboysprocket7 “Pet care is a core part of my daily routine. I’m home full-time, so my schedule is centered around my dog, Sprocket—we go for runs, bike rides, do agility training daily, play with flirt pole, fetch, swimming at the beach, and structured training sessions to playtime, feeding, and quiet bonding time. I’m already in the rhythm of providing consistent care throughout the day, which makes it easy for me to welcome other pets into my routine and give them the same attention and structure they’re used to.” Check out my boys instagram to see training we have done at myboysprocket7 “Safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with secure spaces, no hazards, and plenty of time for supervised play, walks, and rest. I follow any specific routines, dietary needs, or training methods shared by pet parents to keep things familiar and stress-free. Whether in my home or yours, I treat each pet with the same care and respect I give my own dog—earning their trust through patience, positive reinforcement, and gentle handling.”
