About: I've been caring for animals since early childhood and often foster or take care of friends and neighbour's pets. I have cared for everything from fish and reptiles to rodents and water fowl, though my preferred pets are dogs. I am currently working a part time job, and with my children grown they no longer need me to handle daily affairs I can then spend my free time caring for your pets. I can visit your home during the day for morning and or evening walks/ cuddle time and comfort breaks. I can do basic daily grooming for longer haired pets to reduce discomfort and maintain hygiene (brushing mainly). If your dog is familiar with a park or walking trail I can transport them to and from so they can keep to a routine to ease stress while separated from you. If I am staying in your home I can adjust my schedule to suit your pet's routine and will change litter boxes or clean up outdoor messes as they happen.

About: My experience goes beyond simply loving dogs. I’ve worked with dogs who are fearful, reactive, anxious, elderly, disabled, energetic, nervous, independent, and everything in between. I’ve cared for dogs who need medication, dogs who need slower walks, and dogs who need someone to pay close attention to their body language and individual boundaries. I’ve learned that the best care isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s knowing when to slow down. Sometimes it’s letting a nervous dog decide when they’re ready to come closer. Sometimes it’s taking the long way home because your dog wants to sniff every single thing along the way. And sometimes it’s simply sitting on the floor beside them and letting them know they aren’t alone. What you can expect from me I’ll follow your instructions, respect your dog’s routine, and treat your home and pets with the same care I would expect from someone looking after mine. I’ll pay attention to the little things—how your dog communicates, what makes them uncomfortable, what makes them excited, and what helps them feel safe. Whether your dog wants to spend the day playing, go for a long walk, take a slow stroll, or curl up on the couch, their needs come first. I’m Abbigayle. 🐾 Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I currently work full-time at Pet Valu, so my work schedule changes from week to week. Because of that, my Rover availability can vary, but I always keep my calendar as up to date as possible and am happy to communicate about specific dates. I have two dogs of my own and understand how different every dog can be. I also have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, behaviours, ages, and needs. I’m especially comfortable with dogs who need a little extra patience. Not every dog is the type to immediately run up to a stranger with their tail wagging—and that’s okay. Some need space. Some need time. Some need someone who understands that a quiet walk around the block can be just as valuable as a long adventure. I meet dogs where they are. I’m also unable to offer boarding at my own home because I have a reactive dog, but I’m more than happy to care for your pets in their own home, where they can stay comfortable in the environment they already know. At home, I live with a reactive dog, so unfortunately, I am unable to do sitting at my own place. I can do it at your own home.

About: I have cared for my own dogs most of my life and I get along with all dogs. I like to make sure that there is time for play because it is also good exercise. In addition, I have experience training my own dogs with the typically, basic commands (sit, stay, lay down, come). Training is an on going task and I will be happy to follow the rules you have already instilled in your pet. Walking is my top activity ranging from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. I have a full time job with somewhat erratic hours, so the time of the walk may need to be shifted if work goes late. That being said, check-ins will also have to be after this time. Usually 5-10 pm is a good window. I am very well organized and will make time for your pet and the care that it needs. My schedule varies from day to day but I make an effort to support all pet needs. When in clients homes, I make an effort to follow their routines and the way that they work with their pet so that the pet feels as comfortable as possible.

About: I’m an animal lover who has spent years caring for pets! Over the years, I have gained experience through house, dog, and cat sitting for my family and friends. These experiences have made me more comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and various care needs. I love getting outside and going for long walks which makes me a great fit for energetic dogs! I am just as suited for calmer pets who prefer quiet company! I treat each pet with genuine care to make sure they feel safe and loved while they are away from their owners. I am currently a Master’s student with a super flexible schedule! Since my coursework and research hours aren’t fixed, I am able to plan my day around walks, drop-ins, or pet-setting. I spend most of my time working from home which gives me the freedom to check in on pets, take them for long walks, or stay overnight whenever needed. To foster a safe, trusted environment, I focus on keeping routines as familiar as possible for your pets. I follow owner’s instructions clearly (e .g., feeding schedules, walk times, medications) and make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and love.
