So detailed and so thorough! I received lots of info on how my pets were, and she went above and beyond even when my instructions weren’t as thorough as they should’ve been! Will have her back in a heartbeat!

RP is great with our dogs. Our rescue has some social issues and does not take to strangers easily. RP is patient and understanding and works with him so they both are comfortable. It is amazing knowing you can be away and your dogs will be taken care of so well. We really appreciate RP and all he does.

About: I have always had dogs. I grew up around many different kind of dogs both large and small in my family home. I couldn’t imagine being without a pet. When I moved out on my own I got cats and four years ago I got a dog of my own. He is the light of my life. George Michael is a mini golden doodle and a very friendly guy. He loves making new friends. I’ve been walking, feeding, bathing, and otherwise caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. I can’t wait to meet new furry friends! I currently work from home so I get to spend a lot of time with my little guy. We have daily walks (sometimes more than one) around the neighbour hood and have play time regularly. I am off work around 3:00pm every day so I have the entire early afternoon and evening to care for pets. I live in an apartment but I live in an area near a park and there are nice walking routes which we frequent. I have space to crate your dog if necessary. I have a big bathtub where I bathe George and can bathe other dogs. I love playing with dogs and I have plenty of toys in the apartment to play with both inside and outside.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 12, and it’s truly one of my favorite things to do! I love spending time with furry friends—feeding them, playing with them, and making sure they feel happy and safe. Since moving to Winnipeg four years ago, I’ve been the go‑to pet sitter for friends whenever they travel. They trust me because I follow their instructions carefully and treat their pets like part of my own family. I’d be happy to give your beloved companion the same loving care while you’re away! I’m working from home right now, so I’d really enjoy hanging out with a furry friend. I have plenty of experience caring for pets, and I’m flexible with my hours to make sure they get all the attention and walks they need. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe and comfy. With a balcony for fresh air, your furry friend will be happy. I follow instructions carefully and give lots of love and care.

Great communication with Jessa beginning to end. She sent us updates and pictures. Felt comfortable and confident leaving Maggie in Jessa’s care in my home while we were on a weeks vacation: would recommend and will definitely be in touch for our next trip!

Sharon was a wonderful sitter. She was responsive and gave us daily updates in form of pictures and videos. She also reached out with potential issues when they came up in order to ensure a healthy happy pup. We were nervous leaving Huxley in anyone else's hands, but Sharon kept our anxiety down. We will definitely be booking Sharon again!

About: Hello! My name is Hadas and I am a dedicated pet sitter and dog walker based in Winnipeg. I am 26 years old and work full time from home during the week so my schedule is flexible. I have a passion for caring for animals, and I specialize in providing services for both cats and dogs. I am a big animal lover. I currently have three cats (one senior) and have experience with puppies and senior dogs. 🐶🐈‍⬛ I currently work home full time Monday to Friday 8-4:30. I am always home during the weekends as well. I have a very flexible schedule and can be with your pet all the time and give it all of the love and attention they need and deserve. My home is a very clean, organized and safe place. I have three cats who love dogs. Two of them are four years old and the other one is 11. They are all in great health condition, are fixed and have all their vaccines. We recently had our senior dog pass away and they all got along great. As long as your dog is cat friendly there won’t be an issue.

Julia took such good care of our big dog, 2 cats and even updated us on our bearded dragon. Our home was well cared for and she was paying attention to the animals and noticed details about their day. Our dog is not great on a leash but Julia managed her no problem! We would definitely book with her again.

About: 🐾 Priscilla’s Pet Sitting 🐾 Loving Care from My Family to Yours Hi there!
I’m Priscilla, a pet parent & animal lover, with over 7 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. My pet sitting journey started while supporting military families during trainings and deployments, and it's grown into something truly close to my heart. At home, I have two sweet pups of my own, Chestnut (our gentle and giant Golden Retriever) and Valentine (our sassy little Shih Tzu) and I know firsthand how much love and care pets need when you're away. That’s why I treat every furry friend like part of our family. What You Can Expect:
I’m all about creating a safe, loving, and fun environment for your pets. Whether it’s a short visit or a long walk, I make sure your pet feels comfortable, happy, and cared for. I’m experienced with senior dogs and special needs pets too, including those who need help with medications, insulin, diapers, or mobility. A Day in My Care:
Your pet will enjoy fresh air, exercise, and play whether it’s a peaceful neighborhood stroll or a playful run in the yard. I also offer homemade treats (always mindful of allergies and dietary needs), and I’ll keep you updated with messages and adorable photos so you never feel too far from your fur baby. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care and I don’t take that lightly. I’d be honored to care for your furry family member like one of my own. I can’t wait to meet you and your pet! 🐶🐈❤️ As an online student, I offer flexibility to align with your busy schedules, ensuring I can provide your pet with our undivided attention and care for busy families. Prior to caring for new pets, I conduct a comprehensive meet and greet session. This includes a thorough discussion of their personalities, daily routines, and an opportunity for both parties to familiarize themselves with one another.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in La Broquerie maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred La Broquerie walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in La Broquerie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
